Demolition Days is an ongoing collection that documents the demolition process in the area I grew up, Southwest, Ohio. I have passed by these buildings thousands of times throughout my life but have never been inside them. Many have sat vacant for as long as I have been alive. Many became dilapidated after years of neglect. Watching these buildings be destroyed is always just a little bittersweet. You can't help but wonder about all the life that framework has seen, all the memories that have been made inside of it. Even if I've never been there, someone has. Some could have loved these places, some could have even hated them. This process of destruction reminds us that just like the structures around us, life is impermanent.
